We got tired of opening bloated plant apps just to remember to water a pothos â so we built the tool we actually wanted to use.
ðą We're a small team of plant owners, not a plant encyclopedia company. SimpleSprout started because every watering app we tried demanded an account, a subscription, or both â just to remind us about a snake plant on a windowsill. So we made something smaller, quieter, and entirely our own.
ðŊ Our mission is stubbornly narrow: help you water your plants on time, and do nothing else. No AI photo scanners guessing your plant's species, no walls of care-guide text to scroll through â just the schedule, kept honestly and simply.

SimpleSprout: Water Tracker was built on one simple rule: your plant data is yours alone. This policy explains, in plain language, why there's almost nothing here to disclose â because we don't collect anything in the first place.
We collect none. SimpleSprout does not ask for your name, email, location, photos, or any personal identifier at any point. There is no sign-up screen because there is no account system to sign up for.
Since nothing is collected, nothing is analyzed, profiled, or sold. Your watering logs and reminder schedules exist purely to power the app on your own screen â we never see them, so we can't use them for anything, including advertising.
Every plant you add, every watering timestamp, every reminder schedule, and every widget setting is stored locally in the app's storage on your device. Nothing is synced to a server, backed up to a cloud service, or transmitted anywhere. If SimpleSprout isn't installed on a device, its data isn't anywhere else either.
SimpleSprout does not integrate any third-party analytics kits, advertising networks, or tracking pixels. We don't use identifiers to follow you across apps or websites. There is simply no outbound connection carrying your data to anyone.
Because your plant records never leave your device, the biggest security risk is the same as for any local file: physical access to your phone. We recommend using your device's built-in lock screen protection. There is no remote database to breach, because none exists.
SimpleSprout is safe for users of any age precisely because it collects no data from anyone, including children. We do not knowingly or unknowingly gather personal information from any user, so there is nothing that requires special handling under children's privacy regulations.
You are always in full control. Delete a plant, reset a reminder, or remove your entire watering history right inside the app at any time. Since there's no account to manage, uninstalling SimpleSprout permanently erases all of its local data from your device.
If our approach to privacy ever changes, we'll update this page and revise the effective date above. Given our no-data philosophy is core to how SimpleSprout works, we don't expect that to happen â but we'll always be upfront if it does.
